| About The Little Miami State Park |
The Little Miami State Park is approximately 60 miles long and 60 feet wide. It starts at Avoca Park which is in the inner suburbs of Cincinnati and meanders along the bank of the Little Miami river and ends at Hedges road which is just south of Xenia. The trail is an integral component of the Little Miami Scenic Trail and is currently part of the 300+ miles of interconnected trails in the Miami Valley.
Many of us are looking forward to the day when the trail system extends all of the way from the banks of the Ohio river in Cincinnati and extends all of the way to the shores of Lake Erie in Cleveland. (The Ohio to Erie Trail http://www.ohiotoerietrail.org/ )
Currently the best web site for details about the Little Miami State Park is at:
http://www.miamivalleytrails.org/miami.htm
That web site shows all of the attractions, amenities, and features of the trail. Within that web site you will find information about when each section was built, how many users visit the trail and how large the economic impact is. There are links to most of the other trails within our extensive regional trail system.
I have also copied the following from the www.miamivalleytrails.org web site:

Goggle Earth map of the entire Miami Valley Trails System
Mike Monett spent a lot of time building the entire trails system into Goggle Earth. To view his custom tour you'll need to download the program Google Earth. Click the download button here. The file will quickly load onto your computer. Next, you'll need to find that file and install it. It's probably located in the download folder of your hard drive. When you locate it, right click on the file and choose open, then run. The program will install and open automatically. If you want to take a few tutorials of the program, click the tutorial button located on the download page. The essential navigational tools are zoom in, zoom out and directional navigation on the right side of the screen, a location search box in the upper left corner and using your mouse to click and drag.
- To view Mike Monett's tour of the trail, you'll first need to download the tour file he made. It's located on his website here. Click the red link at the top of the page titled Dayton-area Bike Trails. A window will open asking if you want to save to your computer. Click okay. Locate this .kml file and double click on it. It will open in the Google Earth program.

- Click here to see South West Ohio's Trails interactive map of the trails system. On the map there are places marked that provide additional information. After you zoom in, hover your mouse pointer over a landmark icon. When the mouse pointer turns into a "pointing finger", click on the icon and information about it will display.
