| About The Little Miami State Park |
The Little Miami State Park is approximately 60 miles long and 60 feet wide. It starts at Avonca Park which is in the inner suburbs of Cincinnati and meanders along the bank of the Little Miami river and ends at Hedges road which is just south of Xenia. The trail is an integral component of the Little Miami Scenic Trail and is currently part of the 300+ miles of interconnected trails in the Miami Valley.
Many of us are looking forward to the day when the trail system extends all of the way from the banks of the Ohio river in Cincinnati and extends all of the way to the shores of Lake Erie in Cleveland. (The Ohio to Erie Trail http://www.ohiotoerietrail.org/ )
Currently the best web site for details about the Little Miami State Park is at:
http://www.miamivalleytrails.org/miami.htm
That web site shows all of the attractions, amenities, and features of the trail. Within that web site you will find information about when each section was built, how many users visit the trail and how large the economic impact is. There are links to most of the other trails within our extensive regional trail system.
I have also copied the following from the www.miamivalleytrails.org web site:

- Goggle Earth maps of the entire Miami Valley Trails System ? A very helpful reader, Mr. Mike Monett, spent a lot of time building the entire trails system into Goggle Earth. Click Here to see his webpage about the trails system. You will need to download and installed the free Goggle Earth software to take advantage of these new maps with links to my website. Mike?s downloadable file will enable you to see all of the trails in the system including some ?Bird?s Eye? views of certain areas. Because he has marked the trails in planning in red you can see where our trail system will expand in the future. On the maps those places marked with a ?P? have more information, including some ?Bird?s Eye? views and links to the webpage on my website that has the detailed information to go along with Mike?s efforts.
